JJ Manford is hot right now! The color-lover and founding member of Tappeto Volante recently wrapped up solo shows inNew York, LA andCopenhagenso we’re extra psyched he’s been able to take time to lead this month’s Drawing Lab Guest Artist Series!
Described as, “hallucinatory,” byArtforum, we love how JJ’s interiors blend illusion and realism and swap out humans for little creatures, and we’re curious how this will translate as he guides us through one of his core techniques:grid transfer. Grid transfer is a special method for incorporating photographic spatialization and perspective into your drawing.
Artuta’sDrawing Lab Guest Artist Seriesoffers a unique opportunity to connect and create with renowned artists as they guide you through engaging prompts. You may attend in-person at Tappetto Volante gallery in Gowanus, Brooklyn or live via Zoom. In-person seats are limited. No experience necessary.
